Cost-Share Grant Money Allocated For Soil Moisture Probes, No Longer Accepting Applications
Friday, June 5, 2020
The Upper Republican NRD is no longer accepting applications for cost share on soil moisture probes. All $86,000 we received in a grant from the state’s Water Sustainability Fund for the probes used in 2019 and 2020 has been obligated for approximately 215 probes used on approximately 28,000 acres over the two years. The URNRD plans to pursue more grant funds and make the program available again in 2021. Applications will most likely begin being accepted in early 2021. We thank all those who participated for making this program successful and helping reduce the amount of groundwater pumped.
