Automated Meter Installation Planned for Fall/Winter 2024-25
URNRD technicians plan to install several hundred digital meter heads and antennaes on existing flow meters over the upcoming fall, winter and early spring. Thus far, about 1,900 of the district's meters have been converted and about 1,200 remain. The URNRD's meter automation project will allow farmers to see their water usage and remaining allocation in real time. The remaining cost of the project is approximately $1.5 million and will be entirely funded by state and federal grants.
